The Gwinnett Lions Social 7s Team is designed for players who are new to rugby, those looking to develop their skills, or anyone who simply wants to enjoy the game in a more relaxed and fun environment. The focus is on learning, improving, and building strong team camaraderie while still competing in social-level tournaments. At the end of the 7s season, the social squad takes part in a special end-of-season vacation tournament trip, giving players a chance to combine rugby with a great team experience. This year, the team will be traveling to Barefoot Beach 7s in Fort Myers, making it a perfect mix of rugby, beach atmosphere, and a memorable team getaway.

This program is designed for serious rugby players who want to compete at a higher level, push their limits, and represent Gwinnett in competitive 7s tournaments.
The Apex Lions will consist of a 20-man roster, from which a 13-man squad will be selected for each tournament weekend.

Are 18 years or older
Are committed to training and improving their rugby ability
Can compete in a high-intensity environment
Are ready to represent the club in competitive 7s tournaments
Want to be part of a team focused on growth, performance, and competition
Squad Structure
Squad Structure
We are looking for players who:
20-man Apex Lions roster
13 players selected for tournament weekends
Players not selected for the tournament squad will have the option to play with the Gwinnett Lions in the social bracket
Social players are not required to participate in the competitive squad.
Requirements
Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
Must be CIPP registered with Gwinnett Lions Rugby Club before July 1st
Must be available for training sessions and tournaments
Must be prepared to step into the 13-man squad when called upon
